This single origin coffee comes from the Tarrazú region, known for producing the most desirable coffee in Costa Rica. Facing the pacific ocean, the high altitude and cool climate create the perfect conditions for coffee growing.
Diego Abarca Quiros is a fourth generation coffee producer, who inherited his love for coffee from his father, along with three hectares of land. From a young age, he dreamt of exporting his coffee and connecting with those who savor the fruit of his labor, today his dream is a reality.
The unique microclimates of the Alto San Juan region play a pivotal role in the quality of the coffee produced. The varying temperature and cloud cover influence the maturation and sugar concentration of the coffee beans. This meticulous attention to detail results in a slower maturation process, enhancing the flavor profile and quality of the coffee.
This Red Honey process produces a juicy, flavourful coffee with hints of dried fruits and almonds, it's truly wonderful!
We roast this coffee medium to highlight the bold flavours. We only have a small amount of this microlot coffee, so try some before it's gone!
